An essential addition to any New England or Maine history collection! Published in 1920 to mark Maine’s statehood centennial, The Maine Book was compiled by State Librarian Henry E. Dunnack.
This hardcover edition features a dark green cloth binding with blind-embossed pine branch and cone border details and bright gold foil spine and cover lettering. Inside, the volume is illustrated with historical photographs, botanical drawings (including the state floral emblem, the white pine cone and tassel), and regional poetry.
Condition: Very good antique condition. Solid binding with tight pages. Green cloth cover retains deep color with blind-stamped detailing intact and strong gold gilt lettering.
