A fantastic piece of Maine coastal history! Produced in England by William Adams & Sons for the Jonroth import line, this vintage pink/red transferware souvenir plate was commissioned specifically for local retailer Clarence E. Daniel, Jeweller, Rockland, ME.
The plate features detailed vignettes of historical Rockland landmarks, including the Samoset Hotel & Breakwater, Owl's Head, Knox County Court House, Public Library, and Post Office, all bordered by ornate floral scrollwork. The underside retains clear maker marks for Adams, Jonroth, and the jeweler's street-clock backstamp.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Crisp transfer graphics with bright color. Clear glaze finish with light, age-appropriate wear. Small vintage rim flea-bite/chip visible at top edge (as shown in photos). Please review photos for exact condition details.
